World Music Day celebrates the Global Power of Music.
On June 21st, the world will come together to celebrate the universal language of music on World Music Day. The theme of this year’s World Music Day is “Uniting Through Music”, which highlights the power of Music to bring together and bridge cultural divides. This global event, also known as Fete de la Musique, has been celebrated since 1982 and has grown into an international phenomenon.
For almost 16 years, Goethe-Zentrum has been celebrating World Music Day in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad by organizing and coordinating concerts on a convenient day close to the 21st of June to encourage greater interaction and participation in music.
To take you back to the last year’s celebrations, we had over 200 musicians buzzing the city with their music at 5 metro stations and ending with a finale concert at Premia Mall, entertaining close to 18000 music lovers from the city.
This year too, we will be enthralling the audience with very talented and renowned musicians on 21st June, at Hyderabad NXT Premia Irrum Manzil Mall. The music will range from Indian classical to pop music, from music that will soothe one’s senses to music that will raise one’s spirits.
