Sunflowers Will Still Grow is an award-winning multimedia art project to document the stories of Ukrainian refugees who fled to Gummersbach, Germany, after Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022. The project aims to preserve cultural stories and serve as important visual evidence in the history of human culture and migration.
The title is inspired by the viral video of a Ukrainian woman offering sunflower seeds to Russian soldiers so 'sunflowers grow when they die.'
‘Sunflowers Will Grow Again’ is a collaborative project between Indian photographer, Saurabh Narang and Ukrainian writer, Anastasiia Reshetnyk.
This exhibition is part of the Indian Photo Fest 2023.
The exhibition is on view till 6th January 2024.
